One of the famous places in Xi’an is the ‘snack street’.

This is a mostly Muslim area, with all the food in the uighur style, from western china.

The food was all delicious, spending about RMB30 – ate like pigs!

Photos are as follows:

Meat Skewers – delicious! Amazingly delicious!

Rice cakes(?)

Spinach and Beef fried bread:

Chinese ‘hamburger’ – roast lamb in bread bun:

Chinese sweets – some sort of cakes:

‘Islam Food’ Kowloon City

Author: Tom  |  Category: Food, Hong Kong

Went on a mini adventure today to Kowloon City for dinner.

Kowloon city isn’t easily accessible by MTR so we took a bus which dropped us off at the Kowloon Walled City Park.

A short walk through the park and we arrived.

Anyway, cut the story short and just share the food!

Shao-Yi:

Beef Xiao Long Bao (delicious!)

Mutton Curry

Veal ‘Goulash’ – soup inside tasted like Xiao long bao!! Delicious!!

Need to retry this joint – it’s prices are good at HK$170 for both of us!

Feel like eating Japanese?

Author: Tom  |  Category: Food, Hong Kong

I saw this while in Jusco… It’s a Japanese sushi plate, in the shape of Japan!

Glass Balls!

A new Jusco just opened at the Megabox, quite near my office. Jusco sells mostly Japanese goods, one such thing is these Softdrinks using a glassball as the “cork” in the top. To open it, you push the glass ball into the drink!

Interesting and neat idea, but maybe not worth the $10 a pop.

Wagyu @ Soho Hong Kong

REcently, not too long after a payday, a friend and I decided to splurge and go all out on some decent quality steak. This isn’t an easy thing to find in Hong Kong, well, I shouldn’t say its not easy, its just not cheap.

There are many local options for steak, you’ll get it cooked till death, smothered in black pepper sauce and have no falvour. Its much like eating some generic gray substance mixed with pepper sauce!

After a short search, I found “Wagyu” in SOHO, so we ventured out to give it a try.

I can’t be bothered to write much, so just enjoy the photos.
